Truffles belong to the classic psychedelics just like magic mushrooms, mescaline and DMT (Ayahuasca). Truffles and magic mushrooms contain psilocybin and Ayahuasca contains DMT. Psilocybin and DMT are the only natural psychedelics. Classical psychedelics include LSD which is a synthetic (manufactured) psychedelic.

Classical psychedelics affect serotonin receptors in the brain, particularly the serotonin-2A receptor (5-HT-2A receptor). The stimulation of this receptor is responsible for the characteristic “psychedelic” effects, such as hallucinations and to induce consciousness-expanding experiences or to experience the perception of the world in a different way.

Moreover, psychedelics can also be used in very small quantities, for example, for personal development, mental health or physical health. This is called microdosing with truffles.

Psychedelic training is relatively new in the Netherlands. We have relied on American therapies and associated research since 2018. Groundbreaking and remarkable results have been achieved ever since.

For the 1,075,600 Dutch who have a depressive disorder or the 441,700 Dutch who suffer from persistent depressive disorder, this could be a solution (2022 figures). Based on international studies, it is estimated that 30% of these people have therapy-resistant depression. They can benefit tremendously from the (possibly repeated) effects of the psilocybin from the truffles.

Individual truffle ceremony

To cry, laugh, speak and exchange thoughts without shame and in complete privacy, we recommend a one-on-one session. No noise from other participants and full attention from your facilitator/therapist.

Group ceremony up to 4 people (day session)

In our own locations, we organize truffle ceremonies for up to 4 people. Each branch offers these. In a small setting, the group feeling and some togetherness is still created. If you prefer not to travel alone but rather in a group, choose this day session. Professional guidance from one Truffle-ceremony.com facilitator.

Large group ceremony (max 9 p.) with overnight stay

In several wellness centers we organize truffle ceremonies for groups of up to 9 participants. These ceremonies often last a bit longer than the individual or small group session because the energy is more intense. Therefore, we offer it with an overnight stay at the wellness center. The next morning, after breakfast, everyone goes his or her own way. Supervision by multiple supervisors.

Program for Transformation (3-month course)

To incorporate lasting change into your life, we offer the Program for Transformation. During a 3-month program, you will attend 3 individual truffle ceremonies, 9 hours of therapeutic sessions (online or face-to-face) and work intensively on your development through a thick workbook. All under the guidance of your Truffle-ceremony.com therapist.

Why we work with truffles?

For over 5,000 years, various natural plant medicines have been used by shamans around the world. From truffles (sclerotia), frog poison(Kambo) and magic mushrooms to Ayahuasca, Peyote and San Pedro. The shamanic traditions that the peoples of South America and the Amazon and far beyond have managed to preserve to this day.

These traditions serve to promote the health of individuals and that of society. These natural medicines heal people, expand our consciousness and confront us with things we have stored or tucked away inside of us. So this includes both traumas or unprocessed experiences, as well as mystical experiences and knowledge that are stored in a part of us that we normally cannot easily access. Truffle-ceremony.com organizes individual truffle ceremonies and ceremonies and retreats for groups of up to 9 participants. We do this at several locations in the Netherlands. During individual ceremonies, we create a travel journal of your inner journey. This makes us unique in the Netherlands.

During the ceremony, we tune into your journey and offer support where needed. In doing so, we do not get off our chairs or interrupt our meditation. Also, you don’t have to deal with us, we are only there when you need us to be. We are unable to influence or direct your journey. The travel journal will help you go back to the special moments from the inner journey in the days and weeks after the ceremony. This helps in your integration of the insights you have been privileged to receive during the inner journey.

Integration of ceremony

To integrate the insights you gained during and after the ceremony, we have developed special programs. In this Program for Transformation, we will work effectively with your issues, intentions, challenges and the insights you received during the truffle ceremony.

We advise you to really confront yourself to come to the best insights. Think of yourself as an onion with a brown outside and all white peels inside. We’re going to help you peel off those husks until we get to the core, which is what it’s all about.

Aztecs and the history of truffles

In Aztec culture, truffles were considered “the holy children,” because of their ability to induce spiritual experiences.

The Aztecs used truffles in their religious ceremonies and rituals, believing the truffles allowed them to contact the gods and gain wisdom and insight. They regarded truffles as sacred and treated them with great respect.
